It´s time for the midnight sun festivals and for some weeks we have been already enjoying with the nigthless nights, a lot of light and also quite sunny and warm summer days. Great time for hiking and mountain biking, fishing and canoeing; summer is full of opportunities for active holidays, just as winter time is with the snow activities. We have a really great net of hiking trails in Ylläs, and since last summer the mountain biking trails are open as well. From L7 we have a direct access to the Pallas-Ylläs national park and you can go over the Kukaslompolo with a rowing boat to get to Kukas for a nice half day or full day hike. We will prepare you some lunch to take with you, and if you rather go with a guide, that can be arranged as well. It´s often asked if we have some mosquitos and how to manage with them. Yes there are some around the lakes and swamps, but when we go up to the fells, there is always some wind and they don´t disturb at all. With good mosquito repelleant spray you will be just fine. And really, the mosquitos are no excuse not to come to Lapland and experience the mid nigh sun! That is excatly why Lapland is such a great place to explore, because of the big changes between the seasons; cold winter with a lot of snow and beautiful summer with thousands of lakes and 24 hours of day light. Will you be able to sleep at all…? At least you feel really energic and want to sit down on the balcony after the sauna and swim in the lake, that you don´t want to go to bed at all. Once you have seen Finland in the summer time, you will be thinking about booking for next summer already. Here you can feel like being totally away from everything else, leave the city life and get yourself in the middle of the purest nature and breath the purest air in the world. The L7 ldoge is the perfect hideaway also during the summer time.
