We have a lot of different accommodation types in Lapland, hotels and cabins, of course, but nowadays there are also glass igloos, glamping tents and other different options for people who are searching for something special for their holiday. L7 was built in 1986 and it’s made of massive log wood. During its construction the Lodge suffered a fire and the fire was first noticed by Toivo, who is now the owner of the house. At the time he did not realise that one day the Lodge would be part of his hotel concept and company. All great places have a story to tell and so does our Lodge.
Log houses, like Lodge L7, can be found in Lapland but what makes our Lodge such a unique place is its setting and location. On the shore of Kukaslompolo, neighbouring the border of the biggest national park in Finland, the L7 Lodge represents a unit which cannot be compared with any other hotel or Lodge in the whole of Scandinavia. Located in a remote spot, yet still not too far away from the village services in Äkäslompolo, offering the best chance to see the northern lights right from the porch, what more could you wish for from a relaxed holiday. Lappish forests offer a real wilderness playground for all kind of activities and with our guides it’s safe to enjoy the wilderness and savour the beauty of it. The best moments are created from simple things. The snow covered trees and frozen lakes, the peacefulness and tranquility surrounding you is something you cannot see in the pictures or videos, you have to experience it for yourself. Once you have entered the big gates of the Lodge, you have stepped into a world of authentic Lappish house and service, where everything is looked after for you and you can truly sit back and relax.
